Ruhuna tea
Distinctive Ceylon Ruhuna Black Loose Leaf Tea -100g Caddy
This a mild tea from the lower grounds of Ceylon, a very pleasant distinctive taste.leaving you feeling very relaxed.
I have one criticism which is on the product description that there is no grading so you don't know if you are drinking a BOP or FTGFOP which I feel is very important.
Overall very impressed with the tea and would highly recommend it.
my favourite Ceylon from this merchant
This is my favourite among the several loose-leaf Ceylon teas from The Tea Makers. It has a kola-nut nose on steeping, with subtle smokiness and gentle floral notes, and an intriguing hint of cocoa powder. Instead of steeping a teaspoon in 200ml of boiling water for 3-4 minutes as suggested, I like to use a teaspoon for 120-150ml of near-boiling water, infusing for 1-2 minutes, for a sweet and quite light liquor. It is also good for two or three further infusions when made this way.
The FBOP description does seem to be accurate, but is missing from the packaging on my tin. It is also near-impossible to read the white on yellow suggestions for preparing. Finally, the lid of my tin lid fell apart well before the tea was exhausted. So not quite five stars, but I will be buying this again when the current tin is finished.
An interesting taste
This is certainly very distinctive indeed. I have found it slightly smoky without being dark, which is quite a rarity. Definitely different and at least worth a try. Sometimes it just hits the spot, when you want a change.
