Yorkshire Decaffeinated Tea Bags 80s 250g Customer Reviews - Average Rating :4.0 out of 5 Stars

Disappointed.
This is the first time I've tried Yorkshire Decaffeinated tea - disappointed. Someone mentioned Barry's Decaffeinated - any other suggestions ?

You can almost forget it's decaf
I like strong tea and so have never found a good decaf tea because it seems to lose all its flavour with the caffeine removal and you end up with something bland and tasteless. However, in recent months someone persuaded me to try decaf coffee again after a similarly disappointing past and I found that it had moved on so much that I thought it was worth trying decaf tea again. Yorkshire Tea is excellent and so I figured this was a reasonable brand to start with.

I'll be honest, it doesn't taste quite as good as caffeinated tea and that's still my drink of choice, but when I need a cup of tea in the evening and I don't necessarily want the caffeine hit before bed these are a very good substitute. If you leave the teabag in for a couple of minutes you get decent strong tea that actually has flavour. If you want to cut down on your caffeine intake but still want a "proper brew" then I'd recommend giving these a try.

Expensive - but the best!
Anything decaffeinated, whether tea, or coffee loses taste when the caffeine is extracted, as the caffeine is a natural product and ingredient in both the leaf, or bean.

Suffering from stress probably more than is good for me (like most of us, no doubt) an instant decaf is required and when it comes to tea, Yorkshire Gold decaf is the only one I've bought and tasted that still tastes of tea. Not as good as even a moderately tasting ordinary teabag but one that you can still at least enjoy.

Some decafs taste so insipid and 'blah' you'll just turn back to your usual normal tea and so any potential positive effects are completely lost! I've had a box of this on the go for a while now, I don't reach for it often but when I do, I know it'll be a decent cuppa.
