An acquired taste?
Few products seem to evoke such polarised views on Amazon as this one - the reviews on various pages cover both ends of the spectrum. My Sister and I love Coconut Water and I'd say this Cocafina variety is a "best of breed" as it has a great flavour. Cocofina Coconut Water is marketed and sold by a British company, although, the actual product hails from Thailand.
To me, Coconut Water is best drunk chilled, which, in my opinion, improves the taste and aroma considerably. A chilled drink of this Coconut water is bliss especially in summer. Apart from the taste a number of sources suggest it is extremely good for you and these are some of the things I've been told about it;
- Fresh coconut water was administered to wounded soldiers during the World War II instead of liquid saline since it is naturally sterile and has the same ph balance as your blood.
- Coconut water does not contain any fat/cholesterol and is very low in calories (Around 21 kcal per 100...

I'd never heard of bottled coconut water before seeing this product & was instantly intrigued. Like so many of us these days, I'm concerned about filling my body with additives & all manner of strange chemicals - but I also exercise regularly & rely upon energy drinks when I need to keep going. I also attend dance events which can go on for several hours. Some friends get through these with Red Bull & vodka but again I wanted something less toxic without such a dramatic come-down - particularly once I discovered that the fruit juices I'd normally drink apparently aren't all that great either, being full of sugar.
