Great stuff
I first came across this in an Italian cafe near where I live, it was a hot day and I found it to be very thirst quenching and refreshing with a lovely slightly bitter taste, quite similar in fact to a St Clements (1:1 orange juice and bitter lemon). It makes a nice change from their other sweet orange version (which I also love) in the blue and orange can. I'm puzzled by the review below as that reviewer must have very different taste buds to me, but I do tend to prefer slightly bitter drinks, Fanta etc is far too sweet for me.
somewhat average to poor
When out on my weekly shop i noticed this product on the foreign food isle of my local supermarche. Unfortunately they only had the bitter pear variety of this product so i thought 'hang on, Amazon do groceries!'. So that night i sat down at my personal computer and looked up this smashing item (or so i thought it was at the time)and promptly proceeded to the checkout.
Within 4 days the doorbell rang and low and behold a small but delightful charming fellow stood before me holding my long awaited San Pellegrino Aranciata Amara Bitter Orange.
Hastily i skipped to the kitchen area where i unrapped this liquid gold and promptly refrigerated.
2 hours later it was judgement time. The dew drops ran down the side of the can enticing my quenching thirst to open it. but my mind said no Peter, hold on, don't rush this. So, index finger and thumb pinched, i broke can's seal and let the orange odour waft into my nostrils. I sipped the cold liquid, and waited...
