Salt free tomato juice
I really enjoy tomato juice, especially a 'Virgin Mary', with worcester sauce and tabasco sauce or a 'Bloody Mary' with vodka as well. The problem I have is the amount of salt in most available tomato juice is way too high, combined with the sauces it's practically a whole days allowance in one glass!
This juice allows me to enjoy my favourite drinks without the extra high salt content. I can't really taste the difference between this and the regular versions available in supermarkets. It still tastes delicious, but my blood pressure and my kidneys will thank me for choosing this tomato juice!
I also use this instead of passata in spag bol, chilli etc. It does exactly the same job, and I get a regular shipment via subscribe and save- which makes it well worth the money.
Great taste, no added rubbish
Having just received and tasted this tomato juice, some info which might be useful to prospective customers:
1. The label says to refrigerate once opened, so this is safe to store at room temperature until then (useful to know since I ordered mine on super saver delivery just before a weekend and was then worried whether, if it needed to be kept chilled, it would still be OK some days later!).
2. This is indeed 100% juice with nothing added at all - no salt or sugar.
3. After tasting this I can't understand why supermarkets stick salt in theirs - this tastes really nice. I can't even taste a lot of difference between this and the salted versions.
4. The Best Before date is June 2013, nearly a year away, which is great. At least that's what I hope JUN13 means :)
OMG the best since freshly juiced
After researchig this product I decided to give it a go. I do own my own juicer but being disabled I find it hard to keep taking it apart and cleaning it and buying the bulk tomatoes which invariably go off. So I took the plunge with this product. Well it's arrived and I'm sitting here enjoying a tall glass with ice and I have to say I wouldn't know that I hadn't juiced it myself. Thank heavens to not have the over powering salt and citrus tastes that other tomato juices are loaded with. I could quite happily sit here and drink the whole carton in one day, it is that tasty, refreshing and wonderful. The consistency is just like freshly juiced and it even holds it's own with a glass loaded with ice. It says on the carton open and use within 5 days which really is good for a fresh product although I doubt it will last that long at the rate I'm drinking it. This product does cost more than your cheap supermarket version but they are loaded with salt and not healthy at all, this...
